Pip stopped

hi everyone
I had my pip stopped last month, even though I returned my forms on time they told me they never received them. I spoke to them and they sent more forms for me to send and return recorded delivery however in the meantime i get no pip (which I would have normally got this time week) i was once it has been looked at I could get my money bakbdated but the person I spoke to couldn’t be certain.
in the meantime im broke as i dnt get my esa until next week and my uc at end of the month.
Does anyone know if i can get a hardship payment because of this, or anything similar? I can’t have a budgeting advance as I still am paying one back.
Thank you in advance

Hi @longtallsally67 so sorry to hear about your situation. It's definitely worth requesting one, as from what I can see these were introduced to support in situations like this. I've added some eligibility details from the government website. Also, the link is here - and this also advises how you can make a claim - Universal Credit Recoverable Hardship Payments (RHPs) - GOV.UK
Eligibility
To be eligible for a hardship payment, you must meet all the following:
- you’ve been sanctioned and had your Universal Credit payment reduced at 100% of your standard allowance (50% or more if you’re in a couple)
- you’re aged 18 or over if your payment is reduced because of a sanction, or aged 16 or over if your payment is reduced because of a fraud penalty
- you’re struggling to meet your immediate basic essential needs, or those of a child or young person you’re responsible for
- you’ve looked into all possible alternative sources of support
- you’ve taken all reasonable action to reduce non-essential costs
I hope you're successful and your PIP is re-instated soon. 💛
