You already receive UC so there is no need to migrate. You also receive New Style ESA alongside your UC.

Limited capability for work and work-related activity

this title above used by UC is given to both groups work related and support group from ESA?

and it gives the same amount of payment also

    bit confusing

I do remember in the old ESAthe two groups and I'm pretty sure they paid differently

    That's not correct.

Limited Capability for Work is the WRAG equivalent and only pays extra money (£158) if the claim began before April 2017.

Limited Capability for Work and Work-Related Activity is the SG equivalent, and pays the amount you got.

The benefit rates just went up for 2025/2026 on the 7th April.

Your payment was correctly for the old rates 2024/2025.

You have to have a whole Assessment Period after the changed rates for the increase to apply.

My AP is 26th to 25th.

26th March - 25th April, paid 2nd May at old rates.

26th April - 25th May, paid 2nd June, new rates.

You'll still get 12 payments at the new rate, some people like me just have to wait a bit longer for it to start.

I am able to claim all three benefits, been on them all for a good few years. I’ve spoken to ESA and they said I won’t be on the migration list due to me being in the Support Group based on Earnings. All three benefits keep my head above water months by month.

Only Income Related ESA migrates to UC.

You don't get IR ESA, and already get UC, so of course you won't need to migrate in future.

to be honest I am not certain due to my short term memory issues due my long covid. But I know my ESA is protected, my UC is safe and my pip won’t be looked at until 2027.
