Hi @padmeister,
A warm welcome to this lovely and friendly Scope disability forum! I’m really sorry to hear about your potential brain injury . I hope you’re finding some support and space to share here.
Thanks for sharing the UN Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD). I’m just a fellow disabled member here, and from my own reading (especially while trying to understand the laws around these awful benefit cuts), I’ve learned that while the UK did ratify the UNCRPD in 2009, it hasn’t been directly incorporated into UK law. Instead, its principles are mostly applied through laws like the Equality Act 2010.
So although the UNCRPD is a really important and empowering document, I believe it’s the Equality Act 2010 that carries more legal weight here in the UK. That said, I’m always open to learning more -and happy to be corrected if anyone has more insight!
Looking forward to hearing more from you whenever you’re ready to join in.😊
Best wishes!0 -
IIndeed there are many Universal Declaration of Human Rights ans the European Union ECHR. These are exact as the 2010 equality act only tries to compact these matters and falls to do so as its rather vague. They only want to separate themselves from the EU and the end if war agreement that Britain was instrumental in drawing up.
In my efforts to be not be dismissed by all that I'm really messed up I've had to investigate matters and find if they had any neurological qualifications then what's the point of the NHS?
I grow so tired of dealing with Joe public I hardly leave my home anymore as I can't be arsed in my dealings with any interaction I'm forced to endure. I've got MRI evidence I've got nhs medical records
to support I'm broken beyond repair. I'm not bothered anymore as I will not endure anymore of it from the unqualified and that even is the Universal Credit aasessment.
I've already started 3 complaints as I'll not be judged by by fools. This to date is all I have to day on this matter
I think this is an unsecure sire and others can see my posts and i could share but the detailed nhs mrn and hospitalnumber us confidential and private
