I had a Universal Credit telephone call yesterday (01/05/2025) to say if my health has changed the answer is no I got to have appointments once a month, the lady I spoke to says if I’m working the answer is no, I nearly burst into tears on the phone because I was so anxious & shaky that I want to stay in bed all the time & lay there. I’m anxious for my next phone appointment because this one is Work Focus Interview in over 4 weeks time. Can I ask is it worth making a GP appointment & get a full time sick note & ask the GP to write a Mandatory Reconsideration to see if I can be on the support group? because the reason why I’m saying this is because I was on the support group for the first 5 years of ESA until I got a one day a week job back in 2014 then when I left work in 2016 which I worked for 2 years it’s been 9 years since I have not been working my high levels of anxiety gets worse bit by bit I even overdosed by painkillers twice in 2016 because the anxiety of me working which I left was getting worse

If you want to try for LCWRA you need to report a change in health (along with a Fit Note) to trigger the WCA process. It's also important to keep submitting Fit Notes with no gaps until a decision is made.
While this process is underway work coaches do have discretion as to what work activities they ask. Some are more reasonable than others.
Speaking to a trained benefits advisor might be useful:
