Constant worry

Does anyone else suffer from constant worry and psychological stress? If so, how do you cope?

I am age 62 with no support. I don't have much quality of life and cannot stop worrying about everything. For example, I have to move from ESA to UC by the deadline next week but really scared about the whole process after reading stories about people being migrated.

The rhetoric around disabled people, along with the upcoming benefit cuts, is not helping. PIP and ESA are my lifeline but the govt has made me feel like a burden on society.

The intense anxiety is so overwhelming. Any advice appreciated.

Hi @TK1 I'm really sorry to hear how you're feeling. As someone who often has anxiety, I can completely empathise with this post and how you're feeling. I'm going to pop you an email imminently - please keep an eye out for it. 💛

If it helps my managed migration from ESA support group went without a hitch, I'll send you a message with some info that will help put your mind at ease

Only thing you can do about the benefits changes is deactivate all social media, if you feel to check the news do it once a day for a limited amount of time. We all have a tendency to keep checking what's going on on and reading all this awful stuff from government and individuals which is driving us nuts. I've seen it described as digital self harm which is pretty damn accurate.
