Hi @jang - & welcome to the community. There's some info here that our CP specialist lead has put together:

Site faviconAgeing and cerebral palsy | Disability charity Scope UK

    https://www.scope.org.uk/advice-and-support/physiotherapy

If your GP could refer your sister to a neurophysiotherapist that would also be helpful. The Chartered Society of Physiotherapy is one place to check: https://www.csp.org.uk/public-patient/find-physiotherapist/physio2u

Hope some of the above may help

    Hi @jang

Thank you for contacting our community. I'm Sara one of the CP Specialists at Scope. @chiarieds has provided some really useful information. As people with CP age, we experience a deterioration in our mobility and pain and fatigue can increase. The link to Post Impairment Syndrome in chiaried's first post would be a useful read.

Scope's CP Network team, host monthly meetings where the CP community come together. Being part of the community gives your sister access to a variety of resources, support and community discussions. I've included the link here for your sister to consider joining. CP Network

    Hi @jang

Good to meet you. Your sister's GP could refer her to the Cerebral Palsy Service at UCLH in London.

The service offers comprehensive multidisciplinary assessment and care to adults with cerebral palsy and neurodisability. Patient referrals are accepted over 16 years of age.

The team is composed of a consultant neurologist, neuropsychologist, clinical nurse specialist, occupational therapist, physiotherapist and speech and language therapist.

The aims of the service are:

    • help bridge the gap during the transition from paediatric to adult services.
    • Offer specialist multi-disciplinary reviews tailored to your needs
    • provide a key-working service as a point of contact for any concerns or queries
    • help co-ordinate your care with other community services, specialist centres and healthcare professionals.

    Services provided include:

    • multi-disciplinary assessments
    • transition clinics
    • specialist therapy clinics
    • nurse-led telephone
    • video clinics.
