phone call advice

I'm my daughters appointee have been for many years.
Just had a call from a local job centre who spent half an hour explaining as her appointee he has noticed my age (old I guess) and that my daughter lives 120 miles away (doesn't stop me helping her and helping with forms etc plus her local support network/family etc joint effort)
Kept saying we are not trying to catch you out. Not sure why.
Initially he said I would need to take her ID with me and I said she has recently gone through the mirgration process and verified her ID online, proceeded to check something and then said ignore that part just you and your ID.
That I need to go to my local Jobcentre and provide ID and say I am still her appointee and happy to continue to be so and that she needs the same amount of help and or if she doesn't need one then they can arrange a home appointment and decide who else could help more local or not at all.
All a bit odd, 13 years of being her appointee never had anything like that. I myself have recently migrated to UC only 2 statements in.
he said he had a to do list and this was listed on it and mentioned how her health condition affects her but didn't go on to ask anything else. Didn't realise they had to do lists as well.
Legitimate number too.
Anyone had anything like this, for some reason her felt very snoopy and talked about my age and the distance. I don't claim carers allowance either.
