Advice as the UC people seem meh...

I have been advised that streaming I do not have to declare unless I earn so much money which has been long the accepted thing and is fine I have had no issues with this.
I am now looking at making a game which obviously you never know how it will go so being self employed for it to sell 10 copies is ridiculous. it then leads you on to the treadmill of rowing the changes back.
The UC people stated and I quote: "Do any work with the expectation of money paid." However I don't expect anyone to buy it buy I am putting it out there. If it does something I don't expect it to do then brilliant I can take that road however if not then… you know.
It's all just so uncertain and it makes me not to even want to try and I hate being on benefits but I also know I can't risk not cause the huge harm the leaving the house does to me mentally and the panic attacks. I bet I am not the only one who is in this kind of position aswell of wanting to try but feels trapped.

Why not make the game first as a hobby and give it away to a few people for free?
If they're impressed with in and it seems like something that you could sell to lots of other people then you can put it up for sale and declare any income you get from it to UC.
