Extra Virgin Olive Oil Benefits.

I have suffered with right knee pain for at least 18 years and ultimately I discovered after trying various ointments one that was beneficial. The pain was noticed more accessing my stairs in both directions and using my indoor cycle. But this particular glucosamine gel is readily absorbed and it relieves the pain for a few days. It is around £8 a tube (but not stating it here in case I violate advertising restrictions).

But in early January this year I was watching on YouTube a UK doctor talking about extra virgin olive oil and that it is underrated. She said most people think of it as a condiment to drizzle over a salad (yes that is me) and only in the summer months. But there is a lot more value in taking this everyday all year round.

Now I am not going into the precise makeup of chemicals in this olive oil, but suffice to say she mentioned many benefits and one in particular caught my attention, it is an anti inflammatory and pain reliever. It has been thoroughly researched to show that it has the same qualities as Ibuprofen but with no long term side effects. She suggested taking at least 15ml a day and to not expect an instant result.

So as I did have a bottle of Greek Extra Virgin PDO first pressing, I started using it drizzled over my vegetables on my dinner every day. After 7 weeks I noticed my knee was not painful like normal and it continued without me using my gel. In fact my tube of gel has become redundant. It certainly has proved that the olive oil is working. But there are host of other proven benefits that you can find out about relating to blood and even cancers.
