Online checker reveals you have a Motability car!! 😡
This is disgraceful, I’ve just used an online car status checker and all my finance and car details are public!!
Why is this allowed??
resentment of the Motability scheme is at an all time high and certain spiteful individuals and busy bodies are finding out disabled people’s information that should be kept private.

Hey @Bettyboo73 while some information about vehicles is available to the public, other information such as names, addresses and insurance information are not, so as to protect individuals. If these details are available on a site, then I'm not sure the site is operating legally.

I understand as consumers we have a right to know about a vehicle were thinking of purchasing and no one wants to buy a car thats not what it’s saying but to list who it’s financed by is wrong as it lists Motability as the finance company which can be used against the owner,
I run a small support group for people like myself who have MS and one of our members had their car searched up by a spiteful neighbour and they were deliberately reported to DWP and investigated despite their obvious disability. They had to go through the trauma of this and we all know how hideous an experience of PIP is to get it. They did retain it but the mental and emotional damage is done.0
