Hi, my name is Mrsx! Told I was not entitled to UC, any advice?

hi,
I’ve signed on to universal credit to be told I have a big fat Zero!
I applied for housing and council tax help, to be told they had insufficient details of my address, and earnings, I had a face to face meeting and gave evidence of my address and utility bills and income!
I’ve since e updated my change off circumstances, as I’ve gone from 36 hrs to 30 hrs and noe HR have requested me to 24 hrs
I have nothing to live on for the month as I paid all my bills on pay day 28th, I can’t take a loan out as I’ve got pending payments
I have spinal problems protrusion COpD asthma diverticulitis CKD3 GORD arthritis oestoarthiritis at risk of losing my job for UC to tell me I’m not entitled please can you help?

I'd contact local welfare rights, they can offer debt advice and do a benefits check for you as well.

Hi @Mrsx, welcome to the community. Sorry to hear you've had this experience with your Universal Credit claim. It's not always an easy system to navigate, but like Kimi mentioned, it would probably be a good idea to speak to an local benefits adviser to see if they can help you. They might also have some local knowledge to see if there's anything that can tide you over until you next get paid. Some councils will offer a household support fund to help with the cost of living but this can vary depending on where you live:
Get help with the cost of living from your local council - GOV.UK
Hope things start getting easier for you soon ☺️
