Hi, my name is Dummydimmer!
Hi, I am female aged 70. I am having my first replacement surgery soon. I got knocked down by a car about 22 years ago, I recovered well. About 8 years ago, things deteriorated, though I continued to walk and exercise as much as possible. I was with NHS for a while and had steroid injections which helped but were stopped. I still manage 2 flights of stairs at home, very slowly and can walk for 1 hour at a time- very slowly. I have even been known to dance occasionally(I used to be a dancer). It hurts the next day but I reckon anything (within reason) that makes you happy is bound to help. I seem to be getting arthritis in many joints and I have private acupuncture.

Hi @Dummydimmer and welcome to the community. Thank you for sharing about yourself. I love that you dance. I love a little boogie myself. It's such a joyful thing to do, isn't it. 🙂
I wish you all the best with your knee surgery.
