Pip review looming

Hi, I sent my PIP review form back 2 months ago and I've heard nothing about reassessment. It's making me very anxious.
I'm wondering if I cancel my PIP just tell dwp I don't want to claim anymore will this affect my esa will they be notified?
Kindest regards

Hi,
PIP & ESA aren't linked but they are both managed by DWP.
If you suddenly choose to end a PIP claim just before review, that could raise suspicion at the DWP and end up triggering an ESA review.
PIP is also a gateway benefit that may be giving you access to other benefits.
I don't see what would be gained from ending PIP now. There's nothing more you can do until they either send an assessment appointment or just complete the assessment 'paper-based' without your input. The review could still be over 6 months away. If you can just forget about it, and focus on other things, that would be a better option than cancelling in my opinion.

To put your mind further at rest, reviews currently on average are taking much longer than 2 months, your next text from the DWP will be probably to inform you that your payments will continue whilst waiting for the review. There is also that not every review gets referred for an assessment, so dont worry if you dont hear about that either. Just sit tight and try to not worry about it.
However they should have informed you that they received the form, did you at least get that?2 -
I can't add anymore to what other members have said, but 2 months is not a lot of time where the DWP are involved. I would not cancel, this is the stress that is making you wanting to do that. Try and stay calm, we all know it is a stressful time, try and think of something else or read a book to take your mind of it. Talk to family about it if you can. The stress may make you do something you may regret in the future like cancelling your PIP claim and you don't want that on your mind! Please take it easy and I wish you all the best!

I totally understand how anxious you must be feeling and sometimes it does feel easier just to throw in the towel to try and stop the sheer anxiety of the situation.2 months is a long time but not in the land of pip and anything Dwp related ( as I think we have all learned). So if you can sit tight a bit longer I would say that's the best bet x.

Yes I had the text saying they received my form.
Thanks so much everyone who took time to reply to me. I worry and you're right when that happens sometimes one can do something they regret.
