I received this text from Pip

so back in March my pup review was complete they kept my award the same I then asked for mandatory reconsideration and I today receive this text does this mean I am going to have an assessment even though they kept my award the same as the previous award, could they lower it or stop it?

@lew0102 in March your PIP review was complete, you have the decision letter and your award stayed the same. You have put in a Mandatory Reconsideration (MR) to increase your award I gather. With a MR your claim and award is looked at again. I thought the DWP Decision Manager took care of MR's but in your case it looks like an Assessment Company is looking at your claim from the text. I cannot comment on if you will have another assessment, I doubt it for a MR though. You have put in a MR for reasons you felt you deserved a higher award, so they have to look into your claim and award again. With a MR your award could increase, stay the same or decrease. Though usually stays the same! Hope this helps.

@mix_dage Thanks for you post. I have learnt something. Decision Managers looked at MR's when I was going through the process.
