International Day of Families😀💜

Today is International Day of Families and this is a celebration the people who stand by us, lift us up and love us for exactly who we are.
For many of us, family isn’t just about blood. It’s about connection and many of us build our own chosen families. These could be friendships and networks of care where love, understanding and mutual respect are the core values.
It doesn't matter whether your “family” includes relatives, friends, pets or a mix of all three, they are all as real, valid and important as each other!
My chosen family are my absolute rocks and I wouldn’t know what I’d do without them💛
For anyone who feels disconnected from family for whatever reason, please know you are not alone here. This community is a place of belonging where you are supported and respected as you are.
To me, family are the people who I can fully be myself around, make me feel the safest and supported and I know who will always be there for me no matter what
What does family mean to you?
