UC migration payments

Hello
Hoping for some advice please…
My daughter has been on ESA for many years, £92.05 + severe disabled amount £82.90 + disability income guarantee £21.80 = £244.65.
She has just been requested to migrate to UC, which I did on her behalf, 11/04/25 applied as requested in her letter, also accepted commitments.
Received phone biographical call….advised needed to attend job centre to verify ID.
Attended job centre appointment 23/04/25….ID verified, was advised that she would be able to view statement on 13/05 and then payment would be made 17/05.
Could apply for further advance upto 10/05…
She has had no payment and the statement is not showing….i have sent a message but not yet had a reply….concerned now as she can’t apply for further advance and has no money..
I understand that first payment can be hit and miss but any advice would be appreciated.

I'm not sure how much help they will be but you can reach UC by phone on 0800 328 5644.
We usually recommend sending Journal messages using the payment option as this should go to the case manager.
Otherwise keep sending messages until you get a response.

Yes I did select payment option, thank you for the number, if no reply today I will ring them and hopefully they will speak to me on her behalf as she is unable to call herself…thank you.

Unless you are her appointee, she would need to be present for the call to give permission for them to speak to you.

Thank you I am not her appointee, I have always been able to just deal with things on her behalf with her consent…I will ring them on Wednesday when I am with her, we don’t live in same area.
Will definitely look into becoming appointee.
Thanks

Update - rang and spoke to UC yesterday, had no idea what the delay was but said he would pass it to claim manager who would call by Friday 6pm..
Today £600 was paid in to bank and statement is there, but not sure if payment is correct, can anyone advise please? Also we asked for UC to be paid fortnightly, and rent direct to housing association…..seems to say she has to pay rent from this money, but that doesn’t seem correct, and also why the deduction ESA as she hasn’t had that amount separately from them or is that what she will get each fortnight from ESA…so sorry I’m just confused?

The payment looks correct to me.
You'd need to ask again for two monthly UC payments and rent direct to landlord.
This month she will need to pay her rent out of the UC payment.
Please see this thread for an explanation of the ESA deduction.
The up to date figures are £281.10 per fortnight & 609.05 as the monthly deduction (there are 4.3 weeks in a month and New Style ESA is a weekly benefit.

Thank you so much Kimi, I understand now much better.
I have sent a journal message though as she only had the payment of £600 which was on the statement before the updated one….so she is £227 short, they will probably just send this as separate payment, but just wanted to remind them it’s wrong.
