Hi community
I am on Pip and have been for a while, I am scared out of my mind as I keep seeing news articles on what they are going to do with the Pip payments. I am a sufferer of mental health issues and which makes me a danger to myself and others, I am concerned that the gov and it's new assessment will ignore this fact (diagnosed by psychologists and psychiatric doctors and have been incarsirated in mental health units) I fear they will try and put me in some kind of work, and if they did and I snapped and I do not know when I am going have a meltdown and the outcome could be serious enough to probably land me in the courts.
my other serious concern is the last time I went for an assessment on my birthday last year and the woman told the biggest untruths to the DWP to stop all the PIP even three of the untruths were rebuffed when DWP saw the CCTV from the centre! The DWP only found this out when I requested a mandatory reconsideration.
Is there a way to stop them doing this as this will either kill me or worse.

Hi @Tachemam521 welcome to the community. 🙂 Bless you, I can completely empathise with how you're feeling - you're not alone. A lot of people are experiencing the same feelings so it's good we have the community here where we can support one another. I know it's easy to say as we're very much in uncertain times, but please try to take some time to do something nice for yourself to make you feel good. 💛 If things do become overwhelming, it might be worth reaching out to your GP as they may be able to offer some support.

I wouldn't believe the papers and it would be better to stop reading them. The proposed changes are just that - proposed changes! Try and relax and stop worrying, I know it's not easy, but the proposed changes if they go through are more than a year away. From information posted on this forum mental health is the safest from the changes!
