Access To Work - Current Claim Timescales What's Happening?
Afternoon all,
Happy working man here, but with limited vision so I'm gratefully able to claim access to work to get into the office once or twice a week to meet with colleagues.
However, of late, say the past four months, the timescales for claims is greater than the submission intervals & seems to be growing.
For example, I do my claims monthly, and it's take over six weeks now for each claim to be processed. This is clearly unsustainable as each time a claim goes in it's taking longer to process than the time before I submit another claim. So it keeps growing.
Anyone else having problems and / or knows if the DWP are working to narrow this down? It seemed to start overnight as there used to be a promise of 10 working days once the claim had been approved by the line manager - and since it went online a while ago they've stuck to this until, well, they didn't, and started to massively fall behind.
Thanks all.
