How long should you wait for journal replies?

Hi
Last week on my mum's journal she's been told of a telephone appointment for next Tuesday however she's decided against one due to her memory issues and she gets anxious on the phone I put a journal message on for her and put it under appointment and told them she wants a face to face appointment instead for her ID check but heard nothing back that was last Wednesday how long should we wait before contacting them again? Should I put another message on there but too work coach?

Hi,
Some messages never get replied to. If it's a fairly urgent message, it is worth sending another one.
Don't forget yesterday wasn't a working day though, so I'd probably give them the rest of today and then message tomorrow if still no reply.

Just to update her work coach got back and said she can change it to face to face but it'll be a couple of weeks which mums said is fine.
But when we made the claim I saw something that said she had till the 20th of June to confirm ID or her claim will be closed and now I can't find it it's disappeared.
What if her ID in person appointment is after the 20th will she really have her claim closed?

Yes, the claim can be closed if not completed within one month. That has happened to another member on here recently.
If it doesn't get closed then the first payment will be blocked until ID is verified. That can cause an ESA overpayment. That is exactly what happened in my case as it took so long to verify my own ID.
20th June is still over 3 weeks away from now though, so hopefully it will all be sorted long before then.

Morning
Just checked her journal she's now been booked to attend our local jobcentre on the 12th of June so a good week before the 20th.
On the list of ID she has none from the first list were it says bring 1 of the following as she has no photo ID could she bring an extra 1 from the second list?

That's good to hear it's been booked for the 12th.
The ID list doesn't really work like that unfortunately, they don't have to accept another item from list 2. But just take whatever she has got and usually they will accept it.

But they can complete it without photo ID

Yes, they can when doing a face to face visit. But they don't have to. So you could get an awkward one. It should be ok, but I just wanted to prepare you in case it isn't.

Its not on the list so unsure if she can use this but she has a Voter Authority Certificate with her photo on but don't think it can be used as id the only other thing is a out of date passport but it's years out of date

The best advice I can offer is just to take all of the ID that she has got and they should find something acceptable. I have even seen an expired passport get accepted at the face to face, even though they aren't accepted online.

I think that I took my Cheque Book , Bankers Card & all of my recent Benefit Letters plus my Birth Certificate & Blue Badge . Which was more than enough.

Hi all
She had this message on her journal we haven't been on in days and had no notification of a new message so only seen it today however it says they'll take her ESA into consideration but all she did was tell them she's moving over from ESA and she's in the support group? She's 1000% only on income based so were confused by this message?

The UC advisors have very limited training. They can't be relied upon for accurate information. This message shouldn't cause any problems. 🙂

Thanks @OverlyAnxious
Our message was just that she is currently claiming income related Employment and support allowance and she's in the support group.
Well ignore for now. She's going to mention about being on ESA at our appointment on Thursday so they make sure they contact ESA to confirm she's in the support group
