What to do with broken window.

so my window is broken, it leaves a gap when it locks. And now it’s bringing a breeze in. The next appointment till they come is the 13th of June.. a joke. So now I have to deal with constant background noise from outside etc.. idk what to do until then.. we have tried to cover it up but they said apparently it’s not an emergency..

Hiya . I'm assuming you are with a housing association. Unfortunately I've found this in the past if it's an upstairs window they won't act on that immediately. Downstairs window maybe . You could argue that it is a security risk .if rain was to come through your window damaging your possessions then they might act . I agree with you though it's a joke .

You can buy some stick-on draught excluded foam to stick around the edge of the window. None of the windows or doors in my private rental fit properly, I've just had to try and make do with draught excluder foam, but it's obviously not a perfect solution.

Hi! Can't you tape it up?
I would choose bright colors so it would be visible from the outside!0
