Hi all
in Jan this year i had brain surgery to remove a tumour, when surgery was finished and they were cleaning up, sorting out wires attached to me etc they accidentally partially amputated my left thumb.
I have a claim in and my solicitors have valued it now liability has been admitted and my med records reviewed, however I wondered if receiving this, would it affect my UC payments going forward?
thanks in advance

The payment would fall under personal injury compensation, this will be disregarded for the purposes of calculating your UC capital for 12 months.
You do still need to tell UC when you receive the money.
