Hi @Stuart2412 I am so sorry you are having such a challenging time.. It can certainly feel that when one thing is a challenge something else decides to jump on us as well.

I hope your catheter is now sorted and settling down.

    Please take care of yourself.

Stuart, question for you is your MPN a mylodisplastic syndrome? I ask because my partner has CMML which is both mylodisplastic and myloproliferative and it could be beneficial for us to connect if this is the case.

Hi Stuart CMML platelet count for my OH was the opposite he’s on injections every three weeks, it did take quite a long time before his platelets started to increase and is now normal and has been for a couple of months. He has seven days of injections of azacitidine then 20 days off followed by another seven days excluding weekends, and is about to start round number 14.

if this is your first round of chemotherapy and they give you anti-sickness pills they do cause constipation so it might be advantageous for you to Eat plenty of fruit and vegetables my other half has been eating figs and prunes chopped up and added to his breakfast cereal, and also taking fibre gel regularly but still gets some constipation from the pills. Take a look online and look for ispaghula husk this is the active ingredient in fibre gel and is much cheaper than the branded product.

    wishing you well
