The review pack should be sent before. There is a backlog, so your award may be extended too!

Hi teego,
Yes, describe your conditions, I try to keep my review forms clear and concise with bullet points for each activity and under each I then give an explanation always using the key phrases below. Some folk keep diaries and log their health daily over a period of time, some use pain scales etc, whatever works best for you, just tell them what your daily life looks like, not only your worst days, an average day. I always try to remember to add the important bits to each activity I am writing about, use the key phrases such as ''safely'', ''in a timely manner'', ''consistently'', able to repeat the activity. There might be other key phrases, its a while since I did mine, perhaps one of the other knowledgeable folks on here would be better placed to point you in the right direction, hopefully someone will pop on to help you soon. I hope all goes well with the hip replacement, one less pain to have to deal with fingers crossed.

Yes you will still receive payment until a new decision is made, which will probably be months away. Oh yes you definitely need to write it as you would a brand new claim, never just put no change, detail how things are impacting your life now, everyday.

This is handy to know, thanks , as my son recently transferred to ADP from pip and his renewal is now up in August this year.
Bit annoying as his pip was awarded til November 2026 so they are bringing it forward a full year.
So, @mrsBB - i have seen the renewal forms online and there is no space is there to add any info - it's just a yes/no simple form.
Did you add extra sheets of paper and fully explain all your difficulties for every descriptor, even where there was no change?
I know my friend just selected "no change" right through for her son, provided no info and i think they did phone her and he got a full award (same as he had on pip)
I didn't want to over burden them with paperwork but did you just give them the lot, as if it were a new claim?
I know also they offer an online form submission - did you submit by post or was it possible to upload multiple documents online?
Sorry for all the questions but hopefully your answers will help many of us🙂

Hi
I sent in extra pages and put my national insurance number on them

Hi again, sorry for the delay in getting back to you. Yes you can attach extra pages/documents/evidence, as luvpink says, make sure on every page you put your name and National Insurance number clearly at the top. Also link each extra page to your form so for question 1, put for example, continued from question 1 just so it links it all up. Unfortunately I am way behind on knowledge with regards re assessments, its been a long time since I last had one plus there was no online version back then. Sorry I cant be of more help. I hope those who know a lot more than me might pop on to answer more of your questions, I really don't want to give anyone the wrong information. One thing I have learnt over the years is that, both the DWP and the assessors have limited time to read anything so reams of paper will, I believe, be simply skimmed over, that is only my opinion and that's why I try to keep the extra pages etc clear and concise, bullet pointing helps me do that. Please understand though that this is only my opinion and every person will do their form differently, just do what you feel most comfortable with ☺️

I will try and pop back tomorrow and if I can help you both any further I will of course, just be aware that I can only talk about what I did years ago and things have probably changed a lot. I will help if I can as I know just how terrifying all this can be ☺️

Thanks @mrsBB and @luvpink . I am very experienced with DLA. Only did one pip form so far but must have done ok as got paper based double enhanced (for my son) but this will be our first ADP and I know the idea was to make it a bit easier to claim than pip.
I think i might just approach it the same way as the pip form though and see if that yields the right award.
We haven't got a renewal form yet.
