Eligibility to get garden cleaned

Good evening all,

I am a mother to my 28 y.o daughter with special needs and I am in the process of moving houses. It is a council property from Lambeth council and it has 2 small gardens one inside and out. They are in a terrible state as the house was vacant for years due to ongoing repairs. My question is, are there any charities that can help transform this garden to one where it's more suitable for my daughter to enter? By this i mean putting cement on the ground so plants don't grow and to add like a plastic cover so it becomes like a tent.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

Hi @hiiamnewhere, I don't think Gardening with Disabilities can help with clearing spaces but they can sometimes help with making a garden more accessible:

Grants for Gardening - Gardening With Disabilities Trust

You could also have a look at Turn2Us grant finder to see if there's anything there that might be suitable:

    Turn2us Grants Search

I'm not sure whether they can help with the money side of things, but local volunteering organisations or Rotary Clubs can sometimes get some volunteers in to help clear or clean up a garden. It could also be worth asking on a local community group such as Facebook to see if there are any organisations that might sponsor the work or help you transform the space.

Hope your move goes smoothly ☺️
