UC LCWRA back payment?
Hi,
I have recently been awarded limited capability for work and work-related activity.
I can see I have been awarded the extra monthly payment in my work journal under payments. The first payment this month.
My first fit note was provided in October 2024, consecutively up until now. My forms were received to the DWP in December 2024.
I understand it’s back paid 3 months after the first medical evidence, which states fit notes too.
my question is when should I receive my back payment as I understand it’s paid separately to to your monthly payment?
Also is this notified by post or in your UC journal?
Thank you in advance for any help.

Correct, LCWRA has a waiting period of three full assessment periods. No money is paid or subsequently owed for that period.
Any backpay is calculated separately and this usually takes several weeks at least. You'll know when this has been done as a letter will be added to your Journal stating the amount owed. Payment will then be sent within a few working days.
If you have a UC Journal (as you do) then nothing will ever be received by post, all letters are added in electronic format to your Journal.

HHi
I have just had the Descision letter in my journal telling me I am not in LCWRA. Do I need to still give in fit notes until I get the Award letter?
And how long before I actually get the award letter?
I have sent 2 messages in my online journal asking these questions but nobody has gotten back to me to confirm
Any advice would be greatly appreciated

The decision letter is also your award letter.
No you no longer need to send in Fit Notes because you have now had the LCWRA decision.
