ESA tax

Hi. I so thankful for all your help you have given me on here! I would appreciate your insight on this as I'm confused 🤔. Just got a letter saying about my change to universal credit from contribution based ESA. They have included a tax slip. I'm confused because they are saying the ESA type I was on was classed as taxable. Does that mean the amount I received they say on the letter I have to get in touch with the HM tax office and pay tax out of it? Or are they meaning otherwise? Please help as I'm totally 😕 confused..

The slip is a record of your taxable benefits and how much of that benefit you have received in the tax year.
No further action is required on your part, aside from keeping the slip safe with your paperwork.

Oh thankyou! Much appreciated! I get overwhelmed when I receive anything from an authority you see.
