Pip assessment report

Hi
I just received my pip assessment report today no decision yet made
I’m confused.
pay 1-6 the assessor has mentioned all the help I need an struggle with, but when I look at the questionnaire page the assessor has marked me discriptor A on everything and wrote “ suggests he should be able to reliably be do this that”
what report is more important which will the case manager look at the first 1-6 pages where she’s wrote the report of preparing
Food
Managing money
Health condition
cause on that report it mentions all the support I need?
someone please explain
I don’t want to do a MR

Hi @mohK - the DWP decision maker will look at all of the report. An assessor often writes about the difficulties you say you face at the beginning, then unfortunately has to go through a tick box exercise for each of the applicable descriptors trying to decide where they think you fit, rather than fully being able to write their opinion.
The decision maker usually, but not always, goes with the assessor's recommendations, as they do also look at your claim form & any supporting evidence you may have sent in.

thank you,
what I like to know is why scored 0 points and why hass assessor just suggested that I can do everything and also one of the answers is like she put it down for me?
she didn’t ask how I manage money she just asked how u manage bills?
can my sister who helps and supports me write a letter to dwp before decision is made?
Am I unlikely to get pip if all discriptor boxes were 0 marks?0 -
You can write a letter and send it and they will consider this along with other information.

Hi, your sister can write a supportive letter but I don't know whether it would reach the DWP before a decision is made. However, you can send any evidence in at any time, & it can take a while to get a decision, so it's certainly worth a try.
Getting 0s on your assessment report is a shame, so get your sister to write a really good letter showing where you struggle, the help you need, etc. with relevance to the PIP descriptors that do apply to you.
Have a look here for some ideas on how to write about the help you need:

Thank you chiarields
I’m confused now as I don’t know if I should go on assessment report, wait for decision letter or ready myself for MR appeal.
The assessor didn’t ask me the questions and due to low energy an no sleep I didn’t answer correctly.
my sister was next to me but I just wasn’t feeling it.
i told assessor I don’t know how to cook at all and hardly eat
assessor wrote I can eat when hungry when I clearly said my mum and sister force me to.0 -
Your sister can send a supportive letter in the meanwhile, just keep a copy, then if a decision is made quickly, you still have it.
I'm sorry you were feeling so bad when you had your assessment. Your sister could also mention this & why. It does sound like you weren't properly listened to.

the assessor said “ the medication are helping and you getting better” them terms, I was confused I said yeah.
i told assessor my sister manages my medication as I forget to take them on time she’s mentioned that on first pageBut in discriptor she’s gave me 0 points
I also said my therapist does not start till June and I don’t like face to face meetings I hardly go doctors only phone consultations. Some answers I didn’t feel comfortable giving to assessor.
