I just want to start off by saying hello everyone!

I hope your all well and looking after yourself

I just have a question about my pip award. I was originally awarded hight daily living and low mobility for 6 years. I reported a change as my mobility got a lot worse. They took my hight daily living and awarded my low daily living and they took my low mobility.

I done a mandatory reconsideration and they only awarded me the low mobility leaving me with low daily living.

I have ptsd, ocd, chronic anxiety, Osgood Schlatter disease with more disabilities to mention. I recently had an x-ray done as I started to experience more pain on my right knee cap and I was diagnosed with an extra bone called the (fabella) that’s located behind my knee caps that’s why I’m not able to straighten my leg all the way back. And walking can be extremely painful especially if I’m adding my osgood Schlatter disease. I can’t walk every far, and with my mental disabilities I experience a lot of panic attacks, feeling overwhelmed and exhausted.

I would like to add I wear knee braces to reduce the inflammation in my knees and it keeps me stabilised specially from bending too much. I just wanted to get advice to see if I should go tribunal? But mentally I know I’m not equipped for it

sorry for the long message

Hi @Ten24, welcome to the community, I hope you're doing okay today too!

Many people do find that the tribunal result is better than their mandatory reconsideration, so if you're feeling up to it, it's worth pursuing.

As Kimi87 mentioned, you might like to speak to a benefits adviser about it to see if they can help support you with your tribunal or advise you on the best steps forward. They can be really helpful and take some of the stress out of doing it on your own.

Best of luck, whatever you decide to do ☺️
