Pip award

Recieved my pip award letter today I've been awarded enhanced daily living till June 2029 but stopped my enhanced mobility. So now I'm going to have to go through the process of mandatory reconsideration etc. Yet again an assessor has lied in their report saying i told them i could walk 55 metres before having to stop. Luckily my friend who helps support me was present during the 1.5 hour mentally draining assessment will they never learn/realise people with disabilities are still human like them. 🙁

I'm so sorry @Ads68 I've seen a lot of members mentioning similar experiences too recently, it's really disappointing. I hope that your mandatory reconsideration goes ok. It's good you have a friend to support you through this as it can't be pleasant. I hope your mandatory reconsideration goes in your favour.

Thank you holly yes I'm very lucky to have support and i know they have a job to do i understand that but i just think there's no compassion.

It certainly seems that way reading about people's experiences recently @Ads68. But I've also seen a lot of successes with mandatory reconsiderations so hopefully that'll be the same for you (not that you should have to go through that added stress).

Thank you luvpink i won’t I’ve been here before and it takes more out of you than assessments. But I’m lucky to have an amazing friend for support who understands disability. But it shouldn’t come to fighting for what’s right and or fair. 😤

Like mine your duration doesnt seem very long. Good luck on your reconsideration request for mobility.

thanks worried33 yes my friend said he thinks it’s wrong that people should have to fight adding unnecessary stress to what ever their disability. But again I’m grateful for your support another reason I’m glad i joined on here.
