My best friend just texted me that Brian Wilson died today aged 82.

It takes me back to his very last UK venue of his 50th anniversary world tour of 'Pet Sounds' in August 2017 in Times Square, Newcastle. Yes, my best friend & I were there on this last UK night, & yes, I've at least got the tee shirt!

My favourite songs from Pet Sounds were 'Don't Talk (Put Your Head on My Shoulder), & 'God Only Knows,' which is Paul McCartney's favourite Beach Boy's song, tho I suppose this album is better known for 'Sloop John B,' which Brian arranged, but hadn't written.

I'll be listening to his songs again tonight. Thank you for the music, Brian.

    Very sad news @chiarieds. I'm also a fan of the song "God Only Knows" but definitely need to educate myself on more of their catalogue! A true musical legend from what I've been reading, who'd had a very difficult start to life and pushed through a lot of demons to create some magical music. Thanks for sharing this.
