    Hi,

If you are on Income Related ESA then that will be migrated to Universal Credit by the end of this year anyway.

You will have to claim Universal Credit as a Mixed Age Couple when your partner passes state pension age.

Housing help is still provided through Universal Credit, unless you're in sheltered accommodation, then Housing Benefit can still be claimed.

Poll tax hasn't existed for 30 years! Council Tax is managed by your local council. They each have their own rules so very difficult to advise on that through a national forum. Some people do have to pay more Council Tax on Universal Credit than the did on ESA.

Income Related ESA is for disabled people who cannot work.

If you are on Contributions Based ESA then you won't be migrated. But I expect you will be on at least partly Income Related.

Income Related ESA ends this year for everyone, so if you are on that, you will be migrated before retiring.

If you're still not sure, can you tell me exactly how much ESA you get paid each fortnight please?

For sure I get £373 per fortnight

Thank you. That amount suggests to me that you are getting at least partly Income Related ESA. So that will be migrated to Universal Credit by the end of this year.

Yes. You could get a migration letter at any point between now and December.
