ID Proof for Migration ESA to UC
Even though I was given a deadline extention yesterday, I'm still pulling my hair out over this ID thing.
So we both have valid passports
As anyone used the credit agreement part as proof? If so what questions were asked & how many questions asked?
I've spent hours going through both mine & my husbands credit files & listed everything on there & dates things were opened ie credit card, store card etc
So if anyone as used this as form of ID proof can you let me know please.
Although I've been given this extention, I want the blasted thing done as its making me more ill than I already am & where I should be spendimg time with my husband diagnosed with stage 4 cancer, I wasting precious time on this absolute nonsense of giving ID proof of 2 people the DWP have been paying for years due to illness & state pension. I am so angry now, because I'm so tired & worn out with it all.
So if anyone can let me know about the credit ID as proof, I'd be grateful for some feedback.
Thank you

Hello @Tillyboo
Have they given you an appointment to bring your ID in or are you trying to verifying your ID online?
If you've been asked to an in-person appointment, your passports and proof of address should be more than enough. They may ask for proof of the bank account you are wanting your benefits paid in to, but they shouldn't require anything more.
The 'credit ID' you mention is usually when people don't have valid photo ID (such as a passport), and complete a biographical interview instead. These should be simple to answer such as your previous addresses, other benefits you've claimed or are claiming and other information they hold about you.

I havent done anything yet.
Although UC have given extention dates due to our circumstances, I just want to get this blasted thing completed as its making me so ill with stress I'm not eating sleeping functioning.
We both have valid passports,
but the 2nd ID proof we were going to use the credit agreements & I just wanted to know of anymore who as used that & what questions are asked & how many, so as I have the correct answers.
I am aware with the passport you simply enter numbers & info on passport.
Neither of us could get to a job centre, we are both picked up by ambulance to go to the Marsden, so any outside visits are via ambulance transport. With any assessments etc they've always been home or paper based.
My husbands mobility was bad enough after his stroke now stage 4 lung cancer spread into spine/brain, its worse.
