Moving home pip

Hi. I receive full daily living and mobility PIP, Universal credit and am in lcwra group and am about to move to another home. I've paid a holding deposit on my new home and will have to pay the rest of the holding deposit and 1st months rent very soon. I've worked out that with my PIP, UC and lcwra I will be able to afford to live in my new home, but I've just got very worried (I suffer with Complex PTSD) that if I change my address this may trigger a new PIP assessment which might change my allowances. I still have all the same disabilities, none have changed, in fact they have become much worse living here, where I was attacked and seriously hurt by a male neighbour, outside my home a year and a half ago, and this is actually why I have to move to a different area. My C-PTSD is through the roof. Can anyone tell.me whether I am likely to have to face another assessment please? My last one was May last year and I was awarded it until April 2027. If there is a danger of losing my PIP, then I will not be able to move. Please help. Thank you.

Hi,

Changing address is not something that should trigger another PIP assessment.

Just need to give PIP your new address for letters once you've moved.

Hi @OverlyAnxious Thank you for your reply. That has helped my anxiety levels to calm down. The moving is stressful enough, but trying to understand and navigate the benefits system is taking its toll and triggering my Complex PTSD to very high levels. I think that I have it all sorted in my mind and then another thought enters my.mind, my confidence levels plummet and I'm sure that I have miscalculated and the move will not be possible. Then I'm a wreck again. I appreciate this scope online community and the answers here have really helped when the panic has started to affect me.
