PIP review - zero points

Just had my PIP review was on enhanced daily living and standard mobility for PTSD Depression and anxiety. Requested the assessment report and she scored zero on every section. several lies in the report and she was putting words in my mouth on the phone call. I should have requested it was recorded but didn’t, my mistake. Haven’t had the dwp decision yet but know they usually go with the report. I’m struggling to understand how you can go from enhanced daily living and standard mobility to zero.

My initial claim was more smooth but this time it was like she was trying to catch me out etc. I almost felt that she was going to try and downgrade my award as soon as heard her voice.

Just thought I’d vent as it hasn’t fully registered and my head hurts just thinking about it.

😡😡😡😡😡

Any advice on how to do a Mandatory reconsideration/any guides etc would be much appreciated

Thanks

Zero points to what award you were on is not rare, it is nothing personal. You put in your Mandatory Reconsideration the reasons why you should have those points and were awarded those points, detailing your struggles with your disabilities per descriptor. You can get advice from Citizens Advice. Sure there will be online help too.

Thanks for your replies. I’ll have a look online once I feel more motivated as you can imagine I’m kind of in shock tbh.

Keep calm, and I should have said put your Mandatory Reconsideration in writing! You can do it over the phone but you don't know the person on the other end has written it all down!

Hi @Aaron88 - if you need to do a Mandatory Reconsideration you may find this website useful when thinking about how you reply. It's about PIP claims, but still relevant in helping you think about the help you need (even if you don't get that help).

Remember PIP is about how you are the majority of the time, & try & give a couple of detailed examples of the difficulty you face with each applicable descriptor.

    Please see: https://www.mentalhealthandmoneyadvice.org/en/welfare-benefits/pip-mental-health-guide/help-with-your-pip-claim/how-to-fill-in-the-pip-form/

If you have any questions about your Mandatory Reconsideration, I'm sure we have some members that may be able to help.
