Is it worth challenging points even though you received enhanced

Hi Guys

I recently had a paper based assessment and maintained my enhanced daily living (which i'm truly thankful and grateful for)but lost 2 points off one of my 4 points. I know it sounds really petty but should I challenge this given that it is not actually going increase the award. My reason being with these uncertain times of the government brutalising, demonising and penalising the disabled and chronically ill the points do not reflect many of our daily lives (so it looks like we need less help). This 4 point rule has gotten many who rely on this money unnecessarily anxious about future reviews and claims.

Is it worth the stress of doing a mandatory reconsideration just throwing it out there and does anyone else feel like this?

If it is not going to increase your award, it may be best to not bother, as they will look at your whole award again. You could say you are happy with the award but mention the points in question. I think I have read on this forum a member doing this. In addition, the 4 point rule does not pertain to current claimants to what has been voted through today in Parliament. I can't advise you on what to do, it may be better to ask an expert if it is worth bring up the points lost with a Mandatory Reconsideration, as normally a Mandatory Reconsideration does not change the original decision.

As you are already on a maximum award I cannot see any reason why you would put yourself through this. You could end up losing points. Don't waste your energy.
