Sir Keir Starmer’s former law firm, Doughty Street Chambers, issued a legal opinion warning that the government’s proposed disability benefit cuts would likely violate human rights law. Jamie Burton KC from the firm described these measures as “human rights violations for disabled people” and “regressive” — criticism made even more striking given the firm’s past links to Starmer .
