I have moved into a private rental 2 bed property. Housing will only pay for 1 bedroom. I get higher rate pip enhanced rate for both.
They have used my PIP in the calculation as my income. Is this correct. I am 66 and retired. I get All other benefits I am entitled to.

You may not be entitled to a 2 bedroom payment. You may apply for a Discretionary Housing Payment from the council.

If you can tell us who you are dealing with then it should answer the PIP question. When you say 'Housing will only pay for 1 bedroom' what is the name of the organisation please?
