Hi, my name is verjoe!

My Local Gov employer's policy on ill-health retirement doesn't mention any conditions that are eligible. HR have denied my cancer in remission as, eligible but I have a new diagnosis dependent on hydrocortisone - effect of the immunotherapy. I suffer terrible fatigue leading to anxiety. I've made a fresh application for ill-health retirement. HR is saying I don't qualify with this new condition. Not even conforming a, letter from my GP will be helpful: My GP is poised to do it. can they refuse? Can I ask now, what are the reasons when HR has not given any for not being a 'permanent' condition meaning I cannot do 'gainful employment'. Cortisol insufficiency is a life-long condition and I'm suffering fatigue. I know it's employer's decision but they have decided against ill-health retirement I believe, and that's without a letter in support from my GP. What can I do?
