Awarded lwcra today

in Universal Credit (UC)

I have just had a letter attached to my portal I have been awarded lwcra today after my wca assessment on the phone 2 weeks ago.


Does this mean I will get extra money every month ?
my first sick note was dated 01/04/25 .

We applied for universal credit on 13/03/25 so our assessment period is 13-12 of each month. Does this mean the 13weeks waiting ended yesterday on 01/07/25? Sorry for all the questions I just a bit unsure of how it all works .

    Hi,

    13 weeks is for ESA. The waiting period for UC LCWRA is 3 full assessment periods.

    Mar/Apr - Fit note provided

    Apr/May - 1st wait period

    May/Jun - 2nd wait period

    Jun/Jul - 3rd wait period

    Jul/Aug - LCWRA applied

    Your first LCWRA payment should be on August 19th. Then you will get LCWRA every month. No backpay is owed in this case.

    Thanks for your reply on this I was getting mixed up with the esa and uc .
