Hello!

My PIP review decision letter has arrived and it is good news. They are still going to continue to award me what I’m currently getting, which is really great news.

I do a question though, on the letter it says “I can still award you the enhanced rate of £108.55 a week to help with your daily living needs. You can get this from XX October 2024.” Why does it say October 2024? And, the current rate is not £108.55 so I’m just a little bit confused about that?

At the end of the letter where it says “My Decision”, it has some information there and it also says your rate of PIP will not change. So, if that’s the case those rates mentioned above don’t apply as I am currently getting the current rates of PIP..

Thanks

Great news about your award @ItsJT! The letters often use old award amounts, the amount looks to be 2024-2025 rate, while confusing it isn't a concern and you will continue to get the correct amount.

I'm not sure why it says from October 2024. Is that when you sent back your forms?

    Hello!

It really is great news, and it was a paper based assessment. Thank you for clarifying that, that makes sense! And, I posted my forms in November 2024, but the forms were sent out in October 2024. I did request more time to fill out out the forms.

Hello @Jane315STARX. Yes, usually it is a full assessment, whether that is telephone, video or in person. It's rare to get a paper-based assessment.

Thank You.Im not looking forward to the day this comes as I only got awarded on appeal and hated the process of the assessment ( as we all do).But I just made a total mess of it and tend to do so when Im speaking 'live' to someone.mine is not for about a year I think but im already feeling sick and anxious about it now.I know it sounds ridiculous.

It doesn't sound ridiculous @Jane315STARX, many people, myself included, feel that way.

Do you know when your award is due to end?

    Hello @Jane315STARX

I had a paper-based assessment. When I filled out the review form, I included as much information as possible. And, I included several examples with evidence. Just include as much information as you can, with examples.

    Good luck with your review.
