Good morning everyone I hope your all well.I had my pip assessment at the end of March and I got standard on both parts,in which they lowered from enhanced on both, which in itself is wrong. The decision can take up to the 15th of August.I now have been given a mobility scooter which can be folded and put in back of my car.Do I inform pip of this?As pip have my medical records confirming my condition has has worse.Seeing as the osteoarthritis is no longer in my hips but in my lower spine all the way up to my neck and right shoulder.

Hi @Popdiva43, sorry if I've misunderstood, is it the mandatory reconsideration decision that you're now waiting for?

It sounds like you've already made them aware that your condition has worsened. If you feel telling them about the scooter wouldn't affect your points anyway, then it may just be worth waiting until the decision comes through and going from there.

Hope you get a positive result ☺️

I am slightly confused, have you had your decision letter from the assessment in March? If so, to have your award lowered is shocking. You have put in a Mandatory Reconsideration and the decision can take up to 15th August, which will be correct. As Rosie has said, it looks like the DWP are aware your disabilities are worse as they have your medical records. If you want to mention the scooter, that is up to you. I hope you get the result you want and your Enhanced both elements back. What has happened to your award is nothing personal, I know disabled people that have lost their Enhanced rates too.
