LCWRA - will my friend need another assessment in 12 months?

Hi
I have my friend who is placed in lcwra without end date on the letter but i am not understanding the assessor put on medical report saying to allow for further Gp input, review a review in 12 month would be appropraite what does that mean does it mean that he will need another assessment in 12 month. I also like to know i have another friend who has illness is saying is that does he needs to provide sicknote with UC50 capabilty for work questionair form? Thanks

The LCWRA review end date is only a recommendation. It does not mean anything at all.
Fit notes must already be provided to UC if your friend has received a UC50 form. They do not need to send a separate fit note with the form. They do need to make sure that all fit notes uploaded to UC are consecutive without any gaps inbetween.

Hi,To overlyanxious
Thank you for responding to my question i need to know about the previous question do you mean that he does not need another reasessment from what i said before he has also been put in medium review and about the fit note the job centre did not saying anything upload they only said that to put the sicknote start date and end date i also like to can the health proffessional person see all the fit note details? Thanks

He probably will have to have another LCWRA assessment at some point, but it won't be after exactly 12 months. It could be less than that. It could be more than that. That date really doesn't mean anything at all. Currently there aren't many LCWRA reviews happening, but the gov't have said they will be doing a lot more reviews soon. LCWRA is an on-going award until a review happens so it won't stop after 12 months.
A fit note doesn't usually have detailed information about conditions, it is normally only a basic list. The assessor cannot see the fit note, they don't have access to NHS records, so you can send a copy of the fit note if you want them to see it, but it is not a requirement.

Hi
I am confused about this he got letter from dwp saying that they might contact in future but has not mention anythng about review and has not date of review. From the medical report from dwp health proffessional they said he has been put in medium review gp input ,review in 12month will be appropriate. When the health proffessional says review do they mean he needs to have another form uc50 and asessement with health professional again ?

It doesn't mean anything at all. Just forget about it. He will be assessed at some point in future, but no-one knows when that will be, not even anyone at UC.

Hi, to overlynanxious
My friends medical report says from the further evidence gathered ,sever disability is likely in the area of initiating and priortising personal action what is the means ?. I also like to know please what is right to try is that same as working tax credit say like if you start to work for example 16 hours then will i still need to be reassesed on benefits and going to jobcentre appointments? Thanks

Initiating and prioritising personal action just means they may not be able to decide what they need do and when they need to do it to keep themselves safe and in good health. Someone else will need to prompt them or help them.
Right To Try is part of the green paper suggestions. They haven't said exactly how it will work yet. The basic idea is that someone could try work for a short time without getting immediately reassessed. But that might still be years away, or not happen at all.
For now, people are allowed to try part time work while on LCWRA, as long as it doesn't contradict the reasons they were awarded LCWRA.

Hi
Again to overlynanxious
Sever disability is likely in the area of initiating and priortising personal action . Does it means that person is with sever dissiblity? Thanks

Hello Overlynanxious ,I was waiting for your respond about my previous question?

That doesn't necessarily mean that they are severely disabled overall.
It just means that their ability in this area, for this specific assessment question, is much lower than the average persons would be.
