The weather is peaking in my part of Wales again and as I prepare to make the trip to Tesco to stock up on all things cold, it's got me wondering….shall I buy ice cream or lollipops?

I take ice cream very seriously and my favourite is anything lemony or minty (it does not taste like toothpaste!!!)

My favourite lollipops are also just plain lemonade flavour ones. Some say boring, I say a classic!😀🌞

Do you prefer ice cream or lollipops? Whats your favourite?

    Ooooo good question…

I think a selection of both, because it definitely depends on the mood. It's good to have a selection of both ice-cream and something fruity and refreshing.

I'm quite partial to a choc ice at the minute. 😅

You're very lucky! 30 degrees down here Friday and the weekend! May have to take a trip to the Highlands to escape it🤣

There's definitely a place for both I think! I love a Calippo orange or cola (never lime) or a Twister. Or a rocket lolly. All in all, I'm easily pleased!

And the Magnum double ice creams are some of my faves. They make me feel so unwell but sometimes it's worth it 😂

But if we're talking scoop-able ice cream I generally go for something fruity or nutty. Black cherry, raspberry ripple or hazelnut 😎

Oooh yes love a raspberry ripple @Rosie_Scope @Bluebell21. Used to have it in my nans house all the time in the summer when we were children but not had it for years… may have to put it on the list😀

    Me too @Amberpearl, it's a classic!

You might escape the heat, but the midges make life very hard, especially in the west; you need a head net and stay fully covered.

The gaels used to tie sprigs of bog myrtle to their ankles and wrists in days gone by. That warded off horseflies, but I bet they just had to suffer the midges!

The Marines (45 Commando not too far from me) say to use Avon Skin So Soft, but it has never worked for me. It maybe lessens the biting, but they still crawl all over you.

I used to like cider ice lollies when I was young, felt grown up 🙄. Now it'd be lemonade ice lollies. Or the '99' ice creams at the seaside 😊

Funny Face ice creams every time

Don't think you can get them nowadays for some reason

You can get Funny Feet but cheese and ice cream don't go together…..
