Thank You Day π and Chocolate Day π«, yummy!

Two great events to celebrate today! You might even choose to combine them. I certainly think Chocolate is a great way to say thank you.
Thank You Day is a way to celebrate individuals or groups within your community and to show appreciation for outstanding service.
It was created in 2021 to highlight the work completed by the NHS and other workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. However, itβs since expanded to a larger show of appreciation and community spirit.

Chocolate dates back over 5,000 years and originates from the rainforests of Latin America. Even ancient cultures such as Aztecs and Mayans valued cacao and used it in ceremonies! It was then transformed into a ceremonial drink when Spanish explorers brought cacao to Europe in 1550.
The production of Chocolate has come incredibly far with so many options available. On this day all around the world chocolatiers and candy stores will put their favourite chocolate on sale for their clients as a celebration. So, if youβre out and about today, you might find your favourite chocolate for a discount price.
Did you know in 2024 the mostpopular chocolate bar in the UK is the Mars bar according to a survey completed by Lift Safe and Online Marketing Surgery.

That's a great combination of days π chocolate all round!
I'm really partial to the Reece's cups or bars. The chocolate itself isn't great as it's the American stuff but the peanut butter makes all the difference for me.
And I love the salted caramel Tony's Chocolonely. Bit on the pricey side but nice for a treat!
