I am on high level of pip on the living component along uclwra as I suffer from depression and am thinking of claiming new style ESA firstly is there any financial gain secondly do I go onto the main phase directly and thirdly do I need to supply regular fit notes as right now I don't

Hi,
There is no financial gain to claiming New Style ESA. It will be deducted in full from your UC payments.
You would be entitled to the Support Group immediately because you already get LCWRA and the WCA is the same for both benefits.
No, you do not need to supply fit notes.
Please be aware that NS ESA can only be claimed if you have worked and paid enough NI contributions over the past couple of years. If you have not worked then you will be refused NS ESA payments, but may still be provided with Class 1 NI Credits.
