ESA TO UC migration

Hi all hope you are all doing ok, I’ve recently applied for UC migration from

Im 50yrs old

ESA support group

SDP

Hb

And I get PIP

I will be getting my first UC next week and statement this week on Friday, I got a letter saying my esa has stopped and then a further letter saying I will be getting new style esa (I’ve done some reading I have worked in the past around 19yrs, but have been on the above for 14yrs roughly

I’m curious I know new style esa will pay me and also UC will pay me,

Who pays the hb and who pays the SDP?

Also one final thing I read that when your on new style esa you don’t have to worry about savings limits and I’ve been single for a very long time, no one wants to date a middle aged man with hiv, but if by some miracle I met someone and they worked or had savings, would this only affect the UC part of my claim.
And one last question, if the savings amount with new style ESA is correct & there’s no limit, but i get some money from UC how can they distinguish between what I’ve saved from new style esa and UC as I’m sure UC does have two saving thresholds.
Or would I have deductions from my UC regardless of the new style esa savings

Sorry for waffling.
Kind regards.

Unless you live in supported or sheltered housing, your rent will be paid via UC Housing Element.

SDP does not exist under UC.

If your UC award is lower than legacy benefits, Transitional Protection will be added to your claim. This ensures at the time of transfer you aren't worse off. This does erode over time as other elements go up or new elements are added. Effectively your payment is frozen until your award catches up to the standard rates.

Example, UC Support Group +LCWRA currently pays £823.41, which works out at £190 per week.

New Style ESA is not impacted by savings or a partners income, usually pensions in your name are the only things they are interested in.

I'm simplifying a bit here, but any unspent ESA or UC counts as savings for UC purposes in the next Assessment Period after it's received.
