Migration letter meltdown

Firstly can I just say thank you for everyone who has answered my past questions as the support on here is amazing. So the dreaded letter has come through for our daughter to migrate from ESA income related support group over to UC. As an apponitee obviously it's my responsability but to be blunt I am bricking it incase I mess it up. She lives at home so has no housing costs and I am aware that she should move over to LCWRA group under transitional protection and will not need to put fit notes in. I am also aware that she will not have to accept claimant commintments and neither will myself as an appointee, is that correct ?. She does not have a mobile or email so I assume I put my email and phone number down and I am sure I read somewhere that it's best to do it the day on or after her next ESA payment. I am feeling a bit overwhelmed by it all and have done a caluculation of what she gets now on Turn to us and took screen shots of eveything and she will actually be better of on UC by the calculator. I am confused as to what I actually need to apply such as finacail information as she does have her own bank account and a joint one with me and paypal. She doesn't have savings over or anywhere near £6000 so that's not an issue. What ID can she use, she has a current passport and a provisional drivers liscense for ID purposes ( she likes the odd cocktail when Mum takes her out). So any advice on where and how to start would most greatfully recieved.

    Hi,

I would expect you to have to accept commitments on her behalf. The commitment is to say that you'll check the journal regularly and update them of any changes in future.

I would recommend submitting the UC form the day after an ESA payment for the smoothest transition.

You shouldn't need to provide bank statements for the migration.

Current passport & provisional licence should both be accepted for online ID.

She will automatically qualify for the ESA SG equivalent (LCWRA), this isn't "Transitional Protection"

Transitional Protection is money added to the UC award, if that award is lower than legacy benefits.

Unless she receives SDP with her ESA, she will be better off on UC so no Transitional Protection will apply.

Thanks, I have completed her details for her account and will do the rest to claim next week after her next ESA payment has gone in as it said I had 28 days from today after creating her online account. It's our son who would need the transitional protection then as he does get SDP on his ESA, my confusion about transitional protection. His letter hasn't come yet much to my relief as I feel hers is the more straight forward with her living at home, where he lives in social housing, has SDP and royalty payments under permitted work which I know is different for UC. I think I might use the Help to Claim for his when his letter comes through as his is more complicated. Many Thanks.
