Dog Mess Collector

Hello. Someone keeps leaving dog mess right in front of my house on the footpath to the entrance. No one can do anything to prevent it.
If anyone can suggest a long handled dog mess collector that bags the mess at the same time it collects it, I would be grateful.
I cannot bend my knees much or my back and have dexterity issues with my hands. So the bagging part would be really helpful. Thanks.

Hi, I used to get this outside my house. I got a camera, it hasn't happened since.
Maybe it's something for you to think about. Catching the culprit on cam!!!
I couldn't pick it up as it made me feel sick, so everytime it happened prior to the cam, I reported dog fouling to the council. They pick it up.

You can buy extendable pooper-a-scooper either from ebay or amazon and you can also buy dog bags in bulk from amazon, if you want them, at the same time

I've never used one but:
Good luck

It's the owners responsibilty to clean it up I would inform the council of what's happening see if they can do anyhing.

Contact your local council and report it..also, ask if they can remove it for you as your not able to yourself. If caught, it comes with a big fine to the owner. Councils are generally hot on this.

Thank you all for the advice and suggestions.
It also made me feel sick looking at it, but as visitors were coming today to help me with cooking, I needed to clean it myself before they arrived.
My council website actually has a form for this which looks helpful. But as I’ve cleaned the mess and don’t have details of the dog owner or dog or time, just the date and location, will they get annoyed at the request?
The camera idea is interesting, can I ask what type it is and the cost of installing? Legally would I need a sign to say “camera in operation”?Thanks.

I seem to end up touching other dog's faeces as much as my own dog's. I find the problem worse in winter months, (The cover of darkness?).

Yes I always reported it to the council. Prior to the cam. At the time that's all the information I had too was the location and date. They still came out and cleaned it up.
This is similar to the cam I have, I have an older model. They are very clear BUT it's a pain that you have to keep taking them down to charge them. Maybe someone else could advise you on one.
Also on that same page you can see, you can get them with solar power too. That may help prolong charging the battery.

A lot of people have those Video doorbell cams too. Like these but there are other makes/models.

A horse took a mass dump on the road in front of my house. I saw two horse riders and I reported it online as dog fouling on the council website because there is no other suitable option. The first dog fouling I could suspect being intentional, but this is just bad luck on top of what has been decades long bad luck. What can you do? The only thing takes a troubled mind off of a problem or bad experience is another problem or bad experience. I enjoy nothing and haven't for decades.

if it’s a recurring problem the council will sometimes loan cameras to catch the culprits. They’ve also provided A5 sized stickers regarding dog fouling to put up in our road.
Tbh cats are just as bad. My friend has given up going in her garden as her wheelchair often gets coated in cat poo. She then has to wait with the smell until her carers come. 🤢. My elderly next door neighbour has also had his pond liner ripped by cats recently. It’s such a shame as he enjoys his pond but can’t afford for it to keep getting fixed and replaced.

Thanks for the information.
Sorry to hear about your friend and neighbour. I hope things get better soon.1
