Hi, my name is keiran..

Hi, I just want to introduce myself. My name is Keiran and I am new to scope.
After being off work for approximately 5 years due to suffering with a chronic condition, I believe mentally I will be able to improve my life if I refocus on getting back into full-time employment.
Realistically, this would need to be remote due to the nature of my condition as I have everything I need to treat my condition at home.
I am interested in programs that might give me the opportunity to refresh my memory on travel management systems such as Amadeus and Galileo. Some of the systems I know are older systems which have been replaced.
Without being too confident, I was always quite successful in sales based roles. However, my interest lies within the travel industry and I have been fortunate enough to travel a lot of of the world when I worked as cabin crew for a long haul airline and then a private airline afterwards.
Unfortunately, as my condition turned chronic and I was diagnosed with another condition which made managing my condition extremely difficult, and ultimately resulted in my previous employer financially releasing me.
I hope to meet like-minded people who have a keen interest in improving their quality of life and their career whilst also successfully managing their health conditions (which I know can be challenging).
I’ve seen many inspirational people who have successfully balanced a very successful career with difficult health conditions and I wish to follow their footsteps.
Without going into too much detail, the DWP made my situation worse when I was involved in an internal fraud case which spanned around 3/4 years to the date of prosecution. During which time I was given some extra support however given the nature of the incident I was not put on a vulnerability pathway and so every time I have to deal with the DWP I am set back with fear and worry that I will again become a victim.
This has had a detrimental effect on my mental health and trust. So personally, the sooner I do not need to rely on them for support the better it is for me.
If anyone has advice or would like a chat, or has suggestions and possible opportunities, please do reach out.
I’m not 100% certain how this platform works, but I hope to connect with like-minded individuals who have dealing with similar struggles.
Kind Regards,
Keiran

Hey there @kjump and a warm welcome to the community.
I'm so sorry to hear about your bad experience with the DWP, I can certainly understand why you'd be wanting to keep your distance as much as possible. We do have Support to Work, who may be able to point you in the right direction for courses and other things?0
