hi just checking about the articles I keep seeing about being owed money for pip. I just missed out by 2 points on my daily living . Does this apply to this ? I have Ms

Unfortunately those articles are clickbait. PIP is awarded on how you are impacted by your illness/ disability … not on diagnosis …( unless you are talking about the Change in Law cases where people are being given extra points for I think coping with mixing/ talking to other people)

An example - I was on high rate PIP before being diagnosed with MS and my daily functioning has dropped right down. Fact is though I may lose everything at next review ?

My daughter was diagnosed 5 years before me and is still working 2 jobs in the medical profession and walking up mountains, where I can't even walk in a straight line

Have you done a mandatory reconsideration to the DWP to look at your case again ?

Worth doing. If not successful you have nothing to lose by going to tribunal ?

sorry I am talking about the Talking to others mixing with others I got 0 points but really should have got more.is there anything I can read about this

When was your last PIP decision?

If it was after 2020 then the court ruling would have been applied to the descriptor already.

Not saying you got the right award, but you would need to challenge that on grounds outside of the court ruling.

You have 13 months to submit an MR, if longer than one month you'll need to tell them why you are doing it "late".

I got my award april 24 and got enhanced mobility and 6 on daily living

Unfortunately you are out of time for a Mandatory Reconsideration, and with a 2024 award you would have been judged on the correct criteria under discussion, so not entitled to a review on those grounds.

Your options are retaining your current award and trying harder for DL next time, or reporting worsening health to start a review, a review looks at everything again from scratch so losing your Enhanced Mobility is possible.

You'd still have MR/appeal rights on the new award.

Perhaps talking a trained benefits advisor might help?
